Custom-Routed and Painted Acrylic Lobby Sign Boosts Brand Awareness
The management team was looking for a sign that embraces the brand focus of the corporate color play. Our technicians responded by designing a round shape that features the black and teal coloring the firm had selected. However, the client also requested a three-dimensional character for the product.
We were able to comply by using our router. Look closely, and you will notice that the teal style elements stand out as 3D characters while the black color is actually the background. For a customer walking up to the office, it is an intriguing display. The same goes for the employee entering through the glass double doors.
A Closer Look at Customized Acrylic Lobby Signs
The KG Funds project proves that there is plenty of customization possible when looking for ways to think outside the box. Since this is a brand aspect of the firm, it made sense to do something a little different.
Of course, you do not have to go with the standard convention of mounting a sign right behind the reception desk, selecting basic 3D letters, or choosing only a logo board. So, what are the options open to you?
- Flat cut acrylic. We use our router to cut acrylic with a thickness of about 1/8 of an inch to one inch. This manufacturing method is a good choice for 3D letters, numbers, and symbols. Because we can go big, consider the display on a full wall in a hallway, blank foyer wall, or window panel.
- Dimensional panels. Take a page from KG Funds’ playbook, and opt for an intricate router cutting of your logo panel. The result is the combination of flat and raised elements. Because they are parts of the same board, the visual effect is stunning. By the way, envision what it would look like if we were to take individual letters and use the router to carve out parts of the center portions. Filled with a different brand color, doing so could be an excellent way to accentuate your palette.
- Material combinations. Did you know that combinations of acrylic and metal are quickly catching on? They look attractive, chic, and provide your foyer with the type of eye candy that makes a visit to your location memorable.
